On Friday 23 August, Leif Havik drove a trip to Hessdalen.
It was early in the day; afternoon when he at Vårhus turned into the mountainroad
which goes inwards to Øyungen lake.
Leif parked the car below mount Fjellbekkhøga.
There was a light wind and autumnally pleasant.
Leif had packed his rucksack for the trip, and walked up along the stream, towards the top of mount
Fjellbekkhøgda. On his way up he met one
man who was on his way down from the mountain.
After a short break on top, Leif continued further inwards towards
mount Måstjønskarven. It was too far walk to reach there today,
so he stopped at a huge stone.
Leif sat down on the moss, and used the enormous stone as a back support.
He saw on the wonderful play of colors in the reflections from the countless small waters.
There were some small clouds drifting by. It was strangely quiet, not a sound
or a little breath of wind where he sat.
Above you see the drawing Leif Havik made.
To the right you see the map where Leif was sitting when he did this observation.

While Leif was sitting there he suddenly got an oppressive feeling of
being observed. It became an oppressive atmosphere, and he turned around to see
if there was anything nearby. He didn't see anything so he thought it was probably just an imagination.
Just then did he see
a silvery shiny object that slowly slipped out of an invisible portal on the sky.
The distance was impossible to tell, but it was close enough to see
the details of the hull. It looked like an airplane without wings, and it was clearly set
together of plates. Although it shine in silver, there were parts that look
like soot-colored glass, especially under the front. The whole hull eventually came into view, and it
stopped.
Throughout this phase, Leif felt a tingling sensation in his arms and legs, and he was
"heavy" in the head. It was an unpleasant feeling, and it was as if something removed Leif's free
will. Something rational told him to flee from it, while something else hold
him to the bog where he sat. Leif felt an intense high-frequency beeping sound
inside the head, and there was an unpleasant pressure in the forehead.
Leif further explains:
"A faint reflective sheen, possibly light, wandered flapping along the side of the hull.
There was some indefinable woolen covering, which most resembled light, or rather illuminated
smoke. It suddenly felt as if the head would explode, and it was an indescribable
pain in the temples. After that I don't really know what happened. The next thing I remember
was that I sat and looked out over the rocky landscape, and that I marveled at
that it had become so soon dark. There were no more pain in the head,
and the winged fuselage was gone. I had to sort my thoughts,
and leaned firmly against the stone and rolled a cigarette. Then it was as if one
tape player started, and an authoritative and clear voice began.
speech. One homework after another was rattled off. After a while it stopped
"the band player". I suddenly felt that I wanted to go home. The bag was taken on, and
the speed was high on the return trip to the car."
