Bjørn Holden was at his mountain cottage at Riasten, which is located
close to the road between Ålen and Tydal.
He was asleep when his dog woke him up at 01:45 A.M. The dog was very restless, which is unusual.
Bjørn went up and saw a strong ball of light just above the ground, close to the road, just behind a high power cable,
towards west.
The light was moving towards east, towards him. It had a shape of an egg,
and the color was yellow and white, with a green light at the shape.
The intensity was very strong, and it was big.
Bjørn estimate the size as the size of his cowhouse, which is 15 x 7 meters.
The ground beneath it was illuminated. It seemed as the lightrays were mainly directed downwards.
The light moved across the house Bjørn was inside. Suddenly he saw an area on the roof, inside, which is illuminating (!).
It looks as if the light is coming through the roof, as a ray, 1 m in diameter, pointing downwards.
This light from the roof is strong enough to illuminate the room.
Bjørn think this was the strangest thing about the whole happening. How can the light go throught the turfed roof ?
The lightphenomenon turned towards south, moved to mount Gjervolla. There is turn around and move towards north, on the eastern side of
Bjørn and his mountain cottage. The light moved behind the hill Liavollen, which is closest to the mountain cottage,
and in front of the hill Melevolden which is behind.
The light moved slowly upwards and speeded up. It disappeared behind the mountains in north west.
Total observation time was 10 minutes.

Date: 26.06.2005 Time: One time between 5 P.M. and 6 P.M. Place: Ålen
Observer Amund Solheim
Amund is 75 year old and live on the north-eastern side of the valley Midtre Gauldal, in the mountain side
between the shop Samvirkelaget and the railway station in Ålen.
One time between 5 and 6 P.M. did he see a strong light on the other side
of the valley.
Amund said the light was approx. 20 meters from the house of (earlier) Per Eggen, just on the other side of the
small creek.
Per Eggen farm is located in the mountain side on the south-western side of the Midtre Gauldal valley,
towards mount Rogne, close to a small creek.
Per Eggen died many years ago, and noone is living at the farm.
The light was about 2m in diameter and it hovered approx. 20 til 30 m above the ground. It was a very strong light.
30 seconds later it disappeared. 30 more seconds it was back at the same location. It disappeared 10 seconds later.
- One hour later it showed up again, at the same location. This time it was much weaker and it was visable only for 10 to 15 seconds.
It had been thunder, lightning and heavy rainfall earlier the same day.
At the observation time was it cloudy and twilight.
This was the first time Amund had seen the phenomenon and he said it was fantastic to see.
It had a so strong intensity.

Observers: Hallfrid and Bjarne Lillevold
Hallfrid and Bjarne were driving home from the church in Hessdalen. When they reached the top of the small hill
at Heggset, they saw a bright yellow light in the north, above the Aspås farms. It looked aa it was standing
still at first. Suddenly it started moving south, towards mount Finnsåhøgda. It moved jerkily
all the time it was moving towards south, above mount Finnsåhøgda. When it had reached
mount Finnsåhøgda at Heggset, it suddenly disappeared. Hallfrid and Bjarne saw the light
all the time they were driving slowly home. They stopped the car close to home, looking at the light. Hallfrid
went out to find out if there was any sound. No sound could be heard. Bjarne think the total
observation time was 10 minutes.
